As ready as we can be at least.

This week we're excited to be releasing Deity's Form into Beta! There's a lot coming in the new release of v0.8 that we're really excited about, but what's got our team the most hyped is the new lighting! Up until now, we've woefully ignored the simple things like that, painfully unaware of how much of an impact they made on the entire experience of the game and the look of the maps. With our design team rolling out this, the new map and the decorations, we're fairly confident to say we've given the entire environment an overhaul but we're not stopping here! Map hazards are still coming as promised to give some mechanical spice in this visual meal! Things will continue to be improved after Beta, of course, but we're aware of how much we've promised and not yet delivered on. Its about time we stopped saying "We're planning to do X, Y and Z" and just getting them in!

Some recent playtesting has shown us that the new wave of attention we've given to the Bull form and its secondary charge attack was a huge step in the right direction! So, we've done the same for the Hawk and Jackal forms, changing up the Hawks special attack entirely to fit the new AI changes a bit better.  Some minor improvements to design have been rolled out as well such as a new default font colour as we received some feedback pointing out how hard orange/black was to read on a brown background in the menu's. The various bars that make up our main GUI are changed to look less placeholder-y. Lastly, we received a suggestion from one of our playtesters that we're very eager to try, though its not at a stage that we're able to talk about in full, but rest assured that it will add some needed additional complexity needed in gameplay. Either way! Be excited because v0.8 goes live tomorrow!
