The Environment is the hostile one around here.

Unstable ceilings, rushing rivers and boiling lava. What kind of architect designed this place? This week we've got some new additions to our level design in the form of environmental hazards in each level! All fully working and functional now, we've got rivers moving through certain levels that do more than just act as a pretty water feature. Trudging through knee deep water is rarely a speed boost and as such can be a hindrance to the player but also makes chasing down some fleeing archers nice and easy as they try getting away at the speed of a new swimmers backstroke. Next we have a roof rotted away by wayward water features on the floor above, as such when you bash out some support pillars a few chunks might come loose, crashing down on any heads below. Yours or theirs, the rocks don't discriminate. Rocks are decent people like that. Finally, things are heating up as those who trapped you in this nightmare of health and safety violations as they roll out the really desperate solution to try and slow you down; actual molten rock. Lava needs little introduction, just be sure to give it a wide berth while you're without marshmallows to roast on a stick... from about thirty meters away.

In other news, our Art team has done some wonderful work getting character portraits to accompany the dialogue boxes during those moments of peace where the player and the bosses have their lovely little chats. They look real good! So you'll all be happy to know that the Deity's Form Dating Sim is well underway! We've also got some fancy new shader graphs to add some much needed pizazz to the players transformations and the enemy's body despawning. As we get closer and closer to the May release of the game, our list of things to update you on gets smaller and smaller but we'll be sure to always have something!
