And we'd like that to stop.

The Beta release went fantastically! We're incredibly proud of our product and our team for the amount of work they've put in over the last few weeks. Overhauling so much in so little time is nothing short of impressive. Whats more is that we're also very grateful for all the player feedback and interaction we've gotten with the Beta, so much of it has been incredibly helpful in our attempts to plan what to do next. We're quite content with how the game looks and feels at this point. It's not finished, of course, but we've no further plans for any major overhauls in regards to that. What we want to focus on next, however, is the difficulty. We're unhappy with our current system of difficulty scaling as we feel its too simple and doesn't offer enough to the player to keep things engaging. Simply throwing more and more enemies at the player might sound fine on paper to give the game the Hack and Slash vibe we were originally going for but it gets tedious quite quickly.

To remedy this we're planning on an additional spin to the rock-paper-scissors to give the game a more tactical angle to encourage players to switch often and learn the enemy patterns. We were also planning on giving the enemy attacks, especially from the bosses, some more variety based on their form.  We're hoping this gives the player a more engaging experience with the game and will encourage more skillful gameplay down the line while allowing the enemy variety that comes in through the later levels to have more of an impact. We've got some testing to do!
